Marcia June Wiebeck

January 14th, 1955 – February 17th, 2023

Marcia June Wiebeck (nee Boyd), age 68, passed peacefully on February 17, 2023 in the presence of her loving husband and kids after battling cancer. Marcia was the wife of James (Jim) Wiebeck of Ballwin, MO, mother of Erika Britton of O’Fallon, MO and Bryan Wiebeck of O’Fallon, MO. She graduated from Lake Shore High School and immediately started working in insurance.  She was a claims adjuster for USF&G for over 35 years. She and Jim moved to South Carolina before finally settling in Ballwin, MO. She also worked for CCMSI as an adjuster before retiring with big plans to travel.

Marcia was an adventurous soul often taking her family on road trips to Michigan with stops at “dive” restaurants along the way.  She wanted to go many places after retiring with her husband and even bought a camper so she could take the dog. She was an outdoorsy person and loved to fish and golf.  She had a competitive spirit and loved to watch her kids and grandkids play sports. She loved to laugh and liked a good joke. She was a do-good person through and through and loved helping people, often loaning out her husband for “honey do” projects to others in need. Despite Marcia’s struggles with cancer towards the end, she lived life with vigor and love. To honor her, we ask that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness organization (SLOCA).

Marcia was preceded in death by her mother Geralda (Kind) Boyd, father Alan R. Boyd of St. Clair Shores, MI and two aunts, June and Joyce Kind. She is survived by her husband James M. Wiebeck, her daughter Erika Britton (Andy) and son Bryan Wiebeck (Amanda), her 3 grandchildren, Sara, Chase and Dylan, as well as her sister Lind Muir (David) of Waterford, MI and her brother Mark Boyd (Cheryl) of Roseville, MI.

She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Marcia was an amazing person, co-worker and a very good friend. She was fun loving and always ready to help others. Her family was everything to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

I worked with Marcia and her sister at USF&G back in the late ‘70s. Always had fun with those two! Lost touch over the years. So sad to learn of her passing….
