Margaret Ann Briscoe

Margaret Briscoe, age 82, of Arnold, MO, passed away peacefully on 04/04/2026 from Cancer/Dementia. Born on 2/17/1944 in St. Louis, MO.

Margaret lived life to the fullest, making fun wherever she was or who she was with, especially her buddies she made while working at BCBS/Anthem where she worked for 20+ years before retiring. She loved bright fluorescent colors, watching The Golden Girls, playing games on her computer, reading books and would probably tell you that she was most proud of raising her only child as a single parent.

In the words of her granddaughter: “My Grammie was radiant. She was silly. She was the life of the party. She was loving. She was giving. She was supportive. But most of all, she was one of a kind. To know her was to love her, and she certainly had no shortage of love for her family either. If you were lucky to know her…you will have no shortage of memories!!

Even in later stages of dementia…fun, crazy Margo would appear when you least expected it. She is no doubt listening to her oldies, dancing up a storm, and entertaining family and friends in Heaven.

Special thanks to:

Meadowview Memory Care Staff

St. Croix Hospice, especially Joanna for her special care.

In true Margo fashion…she wanted no formal funeral services…just a big party to celebrate her life. Stay tuned….

She is survived by Daughter-Melinda (Rich) Rafferty, Granddaughter-Erin (Alex) Hodges, Grandson-Sean Rafferty, Great Granddaughter- Elena Hodges, Great Grandson-Jack Hodges, Brother-Franklin (Diana) Tripp, Sister-Pauline (Andy) Skelly, Brother-Louis (Sharon) Tripp, Sister-Carol (Ernie) Kon, Many, many nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Linda, I didn’t know your mom, but she seemed beautiful inside and out! She appears to have lived a full and happy life, and I know you will miss her dearly. She left you and your family lasting memories so you will know you will never really be without her. Your guardian angel will leave you signs that she is always watching, protecting as a mother does. My deepest condolences and hugs and prayers.
