Margaret Griffin

Griffin, Margaret “Peggy” (Acri), 94 years young, known for her contagious laugh, compassion and good humor, died on December 29, 2020 amongst the caring and loving staff of Anthology of Clayton View. Peggy married the love of her life, Thomas F. Griffin, in 1950 until his death in 1985. Peggy and Tom’s legacy includes sons, Tom (Lisa) Griffin, John (Debbie) Griffin and daughters Terri (Jerry) Spink and Susan (Ed) Sullivan. She was blessed with ten grandchildren; Patrick, Chrissy, Sean, Thomas, Colleen, Erica, Brit, Ellen, Anna, and Maggie. Peggy was privileged to have 20 great-grandchildren; Cillian, Cormack, Roisin, Sarah, James, David, Drake, Issac, Madelyn, Sully, Colin, Caroline, Jane, Isaac, Owen, Avery, Maretta, Crosby, Wally and Emmett. Continuing the Acri line is Peggy’s sister, Cathy (Cliff) Lewis and her children along with the children of Peggy’s deceased sister Jackie Felice. Of course, there are beloved members of the extended Griffin family who are integral to remembering a life well lived!

Friends were cherished by Peggy. We plan to have a Memorial Service in early summer (when it may be safe to gather). Anyone interested in making a donation to commemorate Peggy is encouraged to send a check in her memory to The Assistance League of St. Louis, 30 Henry Avenue, Ellisville, MO 63011 or visit their website at alstl.org
