1926-2019
Margaret Veronica Smith Mueller, 92, passed away June 14, 2019, after a long illness. Margaret was born September 17, 1926 and raised in the Walnut Park area of the city, living her entire life in the St. Louis area. She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret Smith and George Smith; her husband of 30 years, Herbert Carl Mueller; sisters Edith Horan and Marcella Hogan, and brothers George and Richard Smith. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn (Millard) McDonald, son Daniel H. Mueller, grandchildren Michael (Katie) McDonald and Mary (Brandon) Ross, and four great-grandchildren: Allison McDonald, Lauren McDonald, Aiden Ross and Maggie Ross.
During her work life, Marge was employed by the St. Louis Star Times, Washington University’s Physics Department, Miss Hulling’s cafeteria office, Murphy, Vogt and Associates, Anheuser Busch Print Department, St. Louis County Library, and the Crown Center for Senior Living.
Marge was known for her warm and outgoing personality, her kind heart and care for those in need, and her sense of fun and laughter.
A memorial service honoring Margaret will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Laclede Groves, 723 S. Laclede Station Road in Webster Groves. Burial will be private.
Special thanks to the staff members and chaplains at Laclede Groves for lovingly caring for Marge during the past eight years.

I wish to express my deepest condolences on the passing of a wonderful lady, my Aunt Marge. With an infectious laugh and a shrug of her shoulders and two bright beaming eyes that smiled as she lit up a room for all.Her love of life and caring caress of my crew cut scalp I have not and shall never forget. I have always felt your love Aunt Marge.
