Margaret Vierse

Margaret R. “Margo” Vierse (nee Lau)
Margo Vierse passed quietly on December, 18, 2015 at the age of 87. She lived the last 66 years as a resident of Webster Groves and most recently resided at the Laclede Groves Care Center. Margo is survived by her children Julie (Fred) Nachtwey, David (Cathy) Vierse, Jan (Robert) Wright, and Jeanne Vierse; her grandchildren Robert (Annie) Nachtwey; James Nachtwey; Ellen and Anne Vierse; Lisa, Eric and Mark Wright; David (Margaret Griset) and Margarita Solis; her brother, Herman Buss; and great granddaughter, Olivia Nachtwey. Her ready smile, generosity and humor will be missed by all.
Many tennis players will remember her as a reliable partner, always ready for a game. Some may know that she was “Queen of Webster Days” in 1957, and one of the few “Mrs. Webster Groves”.
Per Margo’s wishes, the family will be celebrating her life in private. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Missouri Botanical Garden or to a charity of choice. Her family would like to thank the staff of Laclede Groves Care Center and Seasons Hospice for their loving care during her stay there.

Margo was my mom’s table mate at Laclede Groves Care Center. She always greeted me with a smile or a wave when I said hi to her. I’m sorry I didn’t know her in her earlier days! Sympathies to her family.
