Marilyn Alice Klostermeyer

Marilyn Alice Klostermeyer passed away peacefully on November 15, 2020 at the age of 88. She was born September 27, 1932 in Saint Louis, MO to Elsie and Joseph Boewer.

Over her many years, she loved playing and watching tennis, baking sweet treats for her loved ones, watching and feeding the birds outside her window, cheering on the STL Cardinals, and always enjoyed visiting with her large circle of family and friends (especially her many great-grandchildren). A woman of faith, Marilyn also consistently found strength and support in God and the caring relationships of her Church community.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Robert Klostermeyer, daughter Kathleen Sedovic, and daughter Mary Spengel. She is survived by her son Joe Spengel, step-children Sue Fisher, Robert Klostermeyer Jr., Diane Strutman, Mary Kaye Fort, sisters Joyce Weisehan and Carol Zak, grandchildren Kristen, Hilary, Jaclyn, Lauren, Stephen, Kenny, David, Brian, Natalie, Jimmy, Stuart, Matthew, great-grandchildren Autumn, Owen, Thomas, Allison, Andrew, Georgie, Corinne, and Elliot, dear friend Rose Luh, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of the Boulevard of Saint Charles for their care and compassion during Marilyn’s final years.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made in Marilyn’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.

    my condolences to Marilyn’s family and my sincere wish to share my warm memories of her and Bob as my good neighbors on Pavillion Drive. We were only a few doors apart, and she was very dear to me. I met most of her family, especially Joe and Mary. I am think i ng o f her with great fondness. Heaven is blessed with a lovely lady today.
