Marilyn Stalzer (nee Hirschfelder)

Marilyn Stalzer (nee Hirschfelder) of St. Louis, Missouri (formerly of Chicago), on Tuesday 9/13, age 87, baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection.

Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Leo Henry Stalzer, by her parents Mary Ellen (nee Byrne) and Robert Hirschfelder, and by her sister Sandra (Bob) Luckett.  Loving mother of Patricia Jean (James) Tornatore, Robert Paul (Sepideh), Maryellen Kliethermes, Sharon Lee and the late David Leo.  She dearly loved her grandkids Gina (Nik) Brym, Angela Tornatore (fiancé Alexander Scott), David, Michelle, and Daniel Stalzer, Amanda (Kelly Odneal), Matthew (Allison) Kliethermes.  Cherished great-grandmother of Norah and Sawyer Brym and Abigail and Lucille Miller.

She was active at St. Rene (Chicago) Mother’s Club for the years her children attended.  She loved reading, history, playing the piano, speaking Spanish and travel. She was proud of achieving her college degree in Foreign Language after her children were grown and enjoyed her time living on Lake Taneycomo.
