Mark Jerome Raynes
Mark Jerome Raynes, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Milton and Phyllis Raynes, Mark was also preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Raynes.
He is survived by his devoted wife of over 46 years, Tina Raynes, who was his steadfast partner and greatest supporter. Mark was a proud father to his daughter, Erin Nichols, and her husband, Daniel, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brothers, David Raynes (Brenda) and Rich Raynes, and his sisters, Patty Kiely (Dennis, deceased)
and Linda Raynes. Mark shared a special bond with his brothers-in-law, Donald Mascare (Jean) and Ryan Mascare (Kathy), as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will carry his memory in their hearts.
Mark had a deep passion for fishing, particularly for crappie and largemouth bass at the Lake of the Ozarks. He treasured the camaraderie of weekend trips with friends for trout fishing at Bennett Springs, where laughter and stories were shared amidst the beauty of nature. Mark also enjoyed the thrill of the casino, often trying his luck at the slot machines and Blackjack tables, where his playful spirit shone brightly.
Despite his well-known distaste for sand, Mark willingly embraced beach vacations with Tina and their family, creating lasting memories in the sun. His adventurous nature led him to cruise the high seas, where he explored nearly 30 countries, immersing himself in the beauty and diversity of the world.
Mark’s warmth, humor, and zest for life touched everyone he met. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his passion for fishing, and his adventurous spirit. As we celebrate his life, we find comfort in the memories he leaves behind and the love he shared with us all.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, honoring Mark’s legacy and supporting the fight against cancer.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Mark’s life, where family and friends can gather to share stories and reflect on the remarkable man he was.
