Mark Steiner
Mark Steiner was born on June 11th, 1962 to John and Patricia (nee Winegardner) Steiner in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away peacefully on March 26th, 2024 at the age of 61.
He is survived by his beloved children, Madison (Cameron) Midyett and Jason Steiner. Mark is the brother of Beth Skaggs, Elaine (Mark) Panek and Joe (Robyn) Steiner. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Patricia Steiner. He was a dear friend, cousin, godfather and uncle to many.
Mark was the biggest STL Cardinal’s baseball fan you’d ever meet, a passion he passed down to his son. While in the car, you’d find Mark listening to K-SHE rock radio with his shades on and no particular destination in mind. Mark had the most abundant love for music, a love he passed down to his daughter. His strength at the end of his life was admirable. He will be greatly missed and is now in his own field of dreams.
Services: A visitation to be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 405 S. Church St., Wentzville, MO, Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, Memorial Mass to follow.

Madison & Josh, my deepest condolences to you both. I had the pleasure & honor of working with Mark at Grainger many years ago. Such a great man. Then several years ago, Maddison enlighten the congregation at Holy Trinity (St. Ann MO) where she was the Cantor at a Saturday evening Mass. Outstanding voice! So great to see Mark then! ( a funny story after Mass) Then this past September, of 2023, it was great to connect with Mark, at my High School Reunion (Ritenour). He went out of his way to attend! We had a great visit in person, and it was so good to catch up to him. We have kept in touch through FB Messenger over the years. Just a great man, who was so smart, the trivia he recalled just amazed me. Yes, his love of baseball & music were well know, but mostly, his integrity, compassion, love of his children, will always resonate with me. RIP Mark, you made this world a much better place, & you leave a legacy behind. You will be missed my friend. My condolence to your kids, family & friends. God Speed Mark, Rest easy, knowing you did well! Love you brother!
Beth, Elaine- I am so sorry for the loss of Mark!
It was shock when you posted about his passing. My thoughts and prayers will be with you all!
Rest In Peace Mark!
Madison and Jason,
Our deepest condolences of the loss of your wonderful Dad.
Mark was an amazing guy that was so kind to everyone.
I will never forget going to Fast Eddie’s with him and watching a Cardinals game.
Til we meet again!!
To all of the Steiner family,
My apologies for missing Marks funeral services. I was not aware of Marks passing. It would be my pleasure to meet with you and talk about Mark and I as college students as we were roommates off campus and spent a lot of time together. He was a good guy for the most part and I’d like to share stories! He’ll be missed. I always thought one day, we would grab a beer and catch up. So sorry for your loss!
