Martin “Marty” Downey, 84, of St. Louis MO, passed away on October 19, 2021 after a valiant battle
against cancer.

Beloved husband for 63 years to Frances Downey; dear father of Patrick (Crystal) Downey, Melissa
(Manny) Garrido, and Jennifer (Bryan) Lograsso; dear grandfather of Sarah (Eric) Berhorst, Sierra and Aspen
Garrido, Zachary Hayes, and Brennan and Conner Lograsso; great-grandfather to Braeden and Andrew
Berhorst; loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.

Marty enjoyed two careers in his lifetime. He was in the printing industry where he held several
different positions until his retirement at the age of 60. He then took great joy in being a tram
announcer for the public, as well as private tours, for Grants Farm until he retired at age 83.
A private memorial service will be held at St. Paul Churchyard, and a celebration of life will be held at a
later date.
