With heavy hearts, yet with the comfort of God’s promises, we announce the passing of Marvin Keith Pickett, who entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at the age of 65.
Born on July 17, 1961, in Pocahontas, AR, Marvin lived a life marked by faith, love, and devotion to those around him. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness, strength, and generous spirit touched countless lives. Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, beautiful blue eyes, his compassionate heart, and his unwavering willingness to help others.
Marvin found joy in coaching his children’s sports teams, playing sports, and was never afraid to work and work hard. He was an expert in laying any type of flooring but was considered a “jack of all trades” and could solve any problem that crossed his path. Marvin treasured the time he spent with family and friends. His life reflected the values of love, faith, and service, and he sought to honor God through the way he cared for those around him.
Above all earthly accomplishments, Marvin treasured his family. He is lovingly survived by his devoted and beloved wife, Rene (Reitz) with whom he shared a life built on faith, love, and commitment for 34 years. He was a proud and loving father to Sarah, Brianna, and Jacob. Marvin warmly welcomed their partners, Karl, Chris, and Brittany as cherished members of the family. His cherished grandchildren DJ, TrizTen, Kayen, Kobe, Kairi, Kylie, Jesse, and Presley; sisters, Geronda, Charlotte and Connie (Mike); mother in-law, Carol; sisters-in-law, Kim, Jackie, Kathy, brother-in-law, Mike, Rich, Mike; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was welcomed into eternal glory by his parents, Ray and Marvine and his beloved brothers Ray Jr. (JR), Terry, Tom, Ronnie, Bruce, and Allen who preceded him in death.
Though we will miss him deeply, we rest in the promise that “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8). His earthly journey has ended, but his eternal life has just begun.
Well done, good and faithful servant.
