Beloved wife of the late Robert E. Fortel, loving mother of the late Robert (Jan) Fortel, Patty (John) McGillick, Denise M. Fortel, Thomas Michael Fortel and Colleen (Bill) Hebron. Devoted grandmother to Shelly Fortel (Fred) Helfrich, Shannon (Jeff) Keller, Christopher (Julie) Hartmann, Megan (Bill) Breuer, Tara L. Hartmann, Bill, Bryan, and Kelly Frances Hebron. Great-grandmother of Bayley, Jeffery, Lexi and Brynn.

Dear sister of Joseph T. Dockery, dearest cousin of Thomas P. Dunne, cherished friend of Julia Hogan. Dear aunt, sister-in-law, cousin, and friend.

Mary was a devoted Irish-American and proud member of multiple Irish Organizations. She was enrolled in the Gift of Body Program at St. Louis University School of Medicine.
