Mary Ann Bakowski, lovingly known as Mary, passed away in St. Louis, Missouri, where she had resided her entire life. She was born on February 14, 1948, at Firmin Desloge Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Agnes Meyer and Richard Meyer.
Mary was a proud graduate of Bishop DuBourg High School, Class of 1966. On September 16, 1972, she married Steven James Bakowski at Seven Holy Founders Church in Affton, Missouri. They shared many wonderful years together before his passing.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Sara Christy (née Bakowski) and Steven Bakowski. She was a cherished sister and is preceded in death by her siblings Richard Meyer and Susie Meyer and Ronnie Meyer. Though she had no grandchildren, she was a beloved wife,mother, sister, mother-in-law, cousin, and friend to many.
A Memorial and Interment of Ashes will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
So sorry to hear about your Mom. My gosh, you sure look like her! Very pretty. A few weeks ago I was going through my closet and found a card from her saying she always hoped I would be her sister. She was so sweet! And I loved your Grandma.
I was dating Ron back in the day. Sorry to see that he has also passed away. Was that recent? I moved to Minnesota and lost touch with everyone.
