Mary Ann “Lou” Friehs

20151212105927114_0001Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thurs., December 10, 2015, Lou passed away at the age of 73 on December 11, 2015 with her family at her side. She died from lung cancer even though she was a non-smoker.
Beloved wife of “Bill” William Friehs for 44 wonderful years and stepmother to 3 great children whom she raised-Joyce Marek, Jim Friehs and Dan Friehs. She loved her 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandkids. Lou was the oldest of 7 children-sister to Ed Lewandowski (who passed of ACL several years prior), Tom Lewandowski, Tony Lewandowski, Don Lewandowski, Patrice Vaughn and Denise Crawford.
Lou was a giving, caring and loving person. She volunteered her services at several organizations and loved to work with children at Crisis Nursery. She was as generous in death as in life, donating her body to St. Louis University School of Medicine in hopes of helping someone. A memorial in her honor will be held for family and close friends at a later date.
