Mary Carter

This is the life of our mother Mary Carter, aka Bitsey, aka Bella, aka Mer Bear. She was born October 3rd, 1964 to Mary Joan Goessling and Robert Earl  Story. She was such a tiny baby that she got the name Bitsey.  She passed away with her children by her side October 25th, 2019.    Even though she will truly be missed here on earth her brother Michael “the rock star” Story will be waiting to greet her once she arrives.
She is left behind by her older brother: John “Murphy” Story; Tara (the pain in her side) Griffin (Tyree); Erin (her twin in crafting and baking ) Cato (Dwight); Alexis (her favorite) Stockton (David); and Michael (her one and only boy, her baby) Carter. She also leaves behind her grandchildren who she spoiled way, way, way too much: Madyson, Kyla, Dwight III, Zoey, Elijah, Tyree Jr, and Tenya.
Our mother was truly a great woman who’s spirit will long be remembered through her cookies and our family traditions.  She spread joy and love to everyone she touched from Red Lobster to O’Charleys, from Missouri to California. Many know her as many different names, but we know her as Mom. Remembering and acknowledging and honoring, the woman she was is the only thing that has and will keep us together. So, with that being said, I know I speak for TEAM Mary when I say our mother was a hell of a woman who needed no introduction and her memory will forever and always live on.
