Mary E McDowell was born on October 21, 1940 in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Clara Leath McDowell and James D. McDowell. Mary McDowell was the second oldest of nine.

In 1961, Mr. Richard Turner Jr met and married Mary E. McDowell. They were married for 45 years. To this union was born four children. Her’s son, Richard Turner III and her husband, Richard Turner, Jr. preceded her in death. Three sisters and one brother, Clara E. McDowell, Molly Stubbs and Carolyn McDowell Joyner and James McDowell preceded her in death.

She is survived by three children, Anthony M. Turner (Dena), Angela M. Turner-Price (Leo), Stephanie L. Turner, Grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings, Dorothy Frazier, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Janett Pryor, Detroit, MI, John Arthur McDowell, Chicago, IL, Warren L. McDowell, Hawkinsville, GA, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her loving personality will be missed by many countless friends, relatives and her spiritual family.
