Mary Enlow

Enlow, Mary (Bertts, Davenport), daughter of Leslie and Helen (Barry) Bertts passed away peacefully at Mercy South Hospital on October 2, 2019.

She was the loving wife of James E. Enlow and Dale D. Davenport (both deceased).

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters: Pamela D. (Davenport, Wall) Blankenship, and Kimberly C. Davenport; her Son-in-law, Larry “Ty” T. Blankenship; her grandchildren: Samantha N. Greene, Christopher M. Wall, Lauren J. Fuchs, Tylar M. Blankenship, Kenzie M. Rapp (Tylar’s Fiancee), and Michael C. Fuchs; her great-grandchildren: Makenna M. Greene, Ella M. and Skylar R. Fuchs; her brother, Thomas L. Bertts; her sisters: Patricia A. (Bertts) Gambill, and Kathleen C. Bertts; her extended family, Rosalie Collin, and close friend Michelle Wonsewith Litherland.

Born July 7, 1936 in St. Louis, MO, Mary attended St. Wenceslaus and Sophie Barrett schools in St. Louis City. She loved to dance, and tirelessly volunteered at the American Legion Post 338 in Overland, MO for 15 years with bingo, fish fry’s, and going to veteran’s homes to spread some cheer.

Her greatest love was her family. She also made the best chocolate cake and chocolate chip cookies, which she would make at the drop of a hat for anyone who wanted them. She never met a stranger. She would talk to everyone and had a great sense of humor. The list of her attributes are too long to list.

We would like to say a special, “Thank You,” to all of the Dr.’s, nurses, and tech’s in the Telemetry Unit at Mercy South for all their knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate and dignified care. We are truly grateful. Also, a thanks to Chaplain Susan for her wonderful words that gave much comfort to all of us, and for donating her time to oversee our mother’s memorial service.

To our mother: Thank you for our wonderful life with you and your unconditional love. Words will never be enough to show how grateful we are that God gave us you as our mother. Gone, but never ever forgotten. We will see you again. RIP Momma, we love you to infinity.

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at St. Louis Cremation, 2135 Chouteau Ave., St. Louis, MO 63103 @ 10:30am – 12:30pm.
