Mary Kathleen Floyd

On Wednesday, July 7, 2021; Mary (Kathy) Kathleen Floyd, after a long battle with neuroendocrine cancer, passed away at the age of 64. Kathy was a beloved wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. She was a retired RN that spent much of her career caring for children at St Louis Children’s Hospital, and later serving her patients as a nursing coordinator at Affinia Healthcare. She made friends of everyone she met, and rarely if ever had a cross word for anyone. She exuded compassion, caring and optimism both in her professional and personal life. She will truly be missed.

 

Kathy is survived by her mother Sally Glennon, husband George Floyd, daughters Sarabeth Smith and Megan Lowry (Luther), son Gregory Floyd (Morgan), and grandchildren Christian Gossage, Christopher Gossage, Connor Floyd, Liam Floyd and Alyson Floyd. Also by her sister Maureen Kane (Larry) and brothers Thomas Glennon (Jan) and Patrick Glennon (Becky). Her father was the late Thomas Glennon.

 

Visitation will be at St Louis Cremation @ 2135 Chouteau Ave in St Louis on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 between 1:00 – 5:00pm. A service will be officiated at 2:00 by Deacon Jim Murphy.

 

Donations can be made to the Minkahz Nets Mission @ Susan Meckler Sylvan – 3621 Vinings Slope SE – Atlanta, GA 30339. This is a non-profit dedicated to helping those with the rare cancer that took her life. The director is Susan Meckler who provided Kathy with understanding, comfort, information and advice in her battle with this disease.
