Marijo Rosegrant

Mary Josephine (Marijo) Rosegrant of Dardenne Prairie, MO, passed away early on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. She had just celebrated her 70th birthday. Mary was born December 12, 1950 in St. Louis, MO to Leo L. Ohlman and Rita A. (Willey) Ohlman. She was the second child, and oldest daughter, of their eleven children.

Mary’s greatest joy was caring for and loving her four children. She was a devout Catholic, she loved Jesus, and she was a passionate advocate for the unborn. She had a giving spirit, and a genuine heart – always loving and caring for others.

She is now reunited with her parents, and her brothers Joseph and John.

Mary is survived by her children Sarah Frederick (David) of Lincoln, NE; Bob Rosegrant, III (Amanda) of St. Louis, MO; Rachel Winters (TJ) of San Antonio, TX; and Dr. Mary Rosegrant also of San Antonio. Her grandchildren include Langley Maness (David) of St. Louis, MO; Joel Frederick (Celestine) of Tacoma, WA; Isabelle Rosegrant of Lincoln, NE; Cori Caby and Jack Rosegrant of St. Louis, MO; Savannah Winters, Adelyn Winters, Gideon Winters, and Asher Winters of San Antonio, TX. Mary is also survived by her siblings Paul Ohlman (Caroline Morgan), Therese Foley (Rafe), Rita Ohlman, Agnes Steyer (Kevin), Michael Ohlman (Marie Andrews), James Ohlman (Dianna), Margaret Kosowski (Karson), and Dorothy Ohlman.

The Family would like to thank the physicians and staff of the 8400 MICU at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in downtown St. Louis for their attentiveness and dignified care of Mary in the last weeks of her life.

Mary will be celebrated with a Funeral Mass for family and friends at her parish on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name, Marijo Rosegrant, may be directed to

I have such wonderful memories of your mom from growing up down the street in Hazelwood. She was always so friendly and welcomed me as a good friend. It was such a joy to know her. She always had a smile on her face. I know she is missed but know she is always with you and protecting you all. Thanks Mary for being such a great friend. Love you
