Mrs. Mary S. Ellis of Enterprise, AL entered into Heaven from Ellisville, Missouri on November 3, 2014. She was 90.
Mrs. Ellis was bornMay 26, 1924 in McAlisterville, Pennsylvania, to the late Banks Arthur and Myrtle May (Landis) Smith. She was a retired newspaper publisher. She was a member of the Enterprise First UnitedMethodist Church as well as a member of the Medical Center
Enterprise Chapter Senior Circle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Banks and Myrtle Smith; 2 brothers:Arthur Smith and Raymond Smith; her first husband, Harold R. Parker; her second husband, Dozier “Dick” Ellis; and her daughter-in-law, Karen A. Parker.
Survivors include 3 sons: HaroldR. Parker, III (Laura) of Lynn Haven, Florida, James M. “Jimmy” Parker of Enterprise,Alabama, and Stephen L. Parker, Sr. (Dr. Jaya) of Ellisville, Missouri; 1 daughter: Patricia “Patti” Reeves Floyd of Houma, Louisiana; 7 grandchildren; 2
great-grandchildren; and 1 sister: Dr. Miriam Wetzel (Lew) of Casco, Maine.
In respect of her final wishes, her body was donated to the National Body Donor Program in St. Louis, MO without any funeral or memorial
service. She wanted her final act on this Earth as a humble Christian lady to work for the good of others. Her cremains will be placed into a double urn beside her late husband after being used for maximum medical good.
