September 9, 1954 – December 6, 2025

Matthew Lawrence Doyle of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on December 6, 2025, at the age of 71. He was Catholic and fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church.

Born on September 9, 1954, Matthew was the beloved son of the late James Doyle and Joan Doyle (née Nolan). He was a devoted father to his sons Patrick Doyle (Kim), Andrew Doyle (Melissa), and Michael Doyle, and a proud grandfather to Mackenzie, Emmy, Kennedy, Levi, Logan, and Henry Doyle. He is survived by his siblings Tom (Sue) Doyle, Carol (Tom) Hinrichs, and Jimmy (Dawn) Doyle. Matthew was also a beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, coach and friend to many.

Matthew was a former parishioner of St. Catherine of Alexandria Church and St. John Bosco Church, where he built lasting connections and remained rooted in his faith throughout his life.

Matthew was an avid sports fan who especially loved the St. Louis Cardinals and Mizzou Tigers. His greatest joy, however, was attending his son’s and grandchildren’s games, never missing an opportunity to support them from the sidelines.

He lived a life marked by quiet strength, loyalty, and deep love for his family. His memory will be cherished always and carried forward in the hearts of those he touched.

A Catholic Mass honoring Matthew will be held on Friday, January 9, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Gerard Majella Parish, Kirkwood, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately after Mass.
