Mayme Jean McDonald (née Isbell), age 85, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026.

Born in St. Louis on February 27, 1941, Mayme was one of thirteen beloved children born to Howard and Mary Isbell (Howell). Devoted to her family throughout her entire life, she found her greatest joy in her children and especially in her grandchildren, who truly were the light of her world. Mayme’s warm presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will be forever treasured by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to The BackStoppers for their unwavering support over the years, which has been a true blessing to their family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Paul McDonald.

Mayme is survived by her devoted children: David Paul McDonald, Jr., Kellie Ann Allen (Stephen), and Kathleen Marie Shamus (John); as well as her cherished grandchildren, Olivia and John.
