She grew up in St. Louis, MO, attended St. Mary Magdalene Parish and Elementary School in Brentwood, Ursuline Academy and Mercy High School, and Nursing School at St. John’s Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, MO. Linda was widely known as kind, loving, accepting, caring, generous and always ready to help by all who knew her. She intensely loved her husband and children and was deeply enamored with each and every grandchild.
Her favorite quote is attributed to Mother Teresa.
“People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere, people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”
We will celebrate her life with a Burial Mass at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 6th, 2014 at her current Parish – Assumption Catholic Church, 4725 Mattis Road, St. Louis, MO 63128, followed by a luncheon in the church basement.

I wish peace and health to all those whose lives were supported and touched by Linda’s LIGHT . This is such a big loss for us and a gain for heaven. Sending light and love to all.

My beautiful Mother-in-law, you were such an inspiration to me. You spent your life taking care of people as a career and as a humanitarian. You raised 5 wonderful, smart, loving, and unique children whom you would do anything for, and a husband you loved and honored for 47 plus years. Your big bunch of grandchildren are what you lived for….your eyes lit up every time a little one was around, as they did with you. I could only hope to be as good a wife, mom and grandmother [some day] as you were. I want to thank you for adopting me into your family as a daughter, it meant the world to me. Thank you for giving your son to me, I promise to love him and care for him always. I will muss hearing your stories of raising your kids, it was somethung i always looked forward to when we visited. I have peace of mind knowing we all have an Angel watching over us now. I love you and miss you, always.

I wish I was able to be at the funeral today to hug all of you and remember sweet Linda together. She was a dear aunt to me. I’m so glad I got to visit with her this summer when my family passed through St. Louis. After years of caring for others she certainly deserved wonderful care in her fight with cancer.

It’s been over two months since I lost my mom and the ache comes and goes unexpectedly. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and I promise to continue to pray for you in the coming days, weeks, and months as you mourn your loss.

My Aunt Linda was one of my favorite aunts. I remember going to see her when she lived in Denver. It was the first time I had flown on a plane, and I disliked it and got sick, but it was worth every bit of the fun I had with Linda and her family. I will deeply miss her. For the her family…keep your hope and faith in the Lord, as we will all see each other again in God’s world. <3
