Melissa Mushlin
Melissa Mushlin passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the early morning of April 11, 2024, at the age of 57. She was born in St. Louis, MO on January 29, 1967.
Lovingly remembered by her parents, Bert and Sherry Mushlin, her siblings, Michael Mushlin, Matthew Mushlin, Jamie Mushlin, Stefanie Mushlin, and Brandon Mushlin. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories among her extended family including cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Melissa, affectionately known by her siblings as Missy, was a passionate individual who embraced life with vigor and love. After battling multiple health challenges courageously for many years, she demonstrated the indomitable Mushlin spirit. Missy was deeply committed to her faith, having been an active member of her church community for over 34 years. She obtained a degree in seminary and devoted much of her time to nurturing her spiritual growth and supporting others in their faith journeys.
Missy also had a profound love for children which she expressed through many years of dedicated service as a nanny. Missy enjoyed teaching Sunday school, and often talked about traveling back to Haiti for another church mission. Her hobbies included apple picking, watching movies, and celebrating the festive season with gusto. Missy cherished her pets, especially her beloved dogs, Charlie Bear and Penny, who brought immense joy and companionship to her life.
