Michael Brand

 

On Tuesday, March 30th, 2021, Michael Brand, loving husband and father, passed away after a four and half year battle with sarcoma, at the age of 57.

Michael was born on December 19th, 1963 in Offenbach Germany. He became a naturalized citizen at the age of thirteen, on June 21, 1976. Michael served as a Meteorological and Navigation Systems Craftsman for over twenty years in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in June, 2006. He worked as a Senior Navigation Technician for the Federal Aviation Administration until his death.

He was preceded in death by his mother Rosemarie Vasquez, stepfather Robert Vasquez and brother in-law Perry McNally.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Brand, adored son Grant Brand, in-laws Lawrence and Patricia McNally, brother Jurgen Kopp (Jamie) and nephew David Kopp.

Honoring his military service, Michael will be laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis Missouri.

The family would like to sincerely thank all of our friends, family, co-workers and care givers at Siteman Cancer Center for your love and support. We are forever blessed and grateful for your kindness, love and compassion that lifted and carried us through this difficult journey.

    Pam and Grant,
    I am so deeply sorry for your loss. My heart just breaks for the both of you. Michael fought so hard to stay with you both. Praying that he is out of pain and at peace finally. I pray for strength and peace for the both of you on your new journey in life.

    My condolences goes out to Pam ,Grant and Michael family. Mike was a good friend of mine’s and we were close like brothers. I’m very happy to have known Mike, we have became very close friend’s from the time he first started working for the FAA. He will be dearly missed, but not forgotten the memories that we shared will be with me forever. Pam and Grant was Mikes life he loved you two more than life it’s self. Please cherish his memories that y’all shared together in your hearts and I will continue to pray for y’all that God will give you the strength to get through this difficult time.
