Michael Leo “Mike” Kenny
Michael Leo “Mike” Kenny, age 82 of Florissant, MO passed away Sunday October 5, 2025, in Winfield, MO. He was born October 23, 1942, in St. Louis, MO to the late John J. and Betty (Bernsen) Kenny.
“Mo Better”, as he was affectionately known was a larger-than-life presence in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and all whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived.
Mike was a natural athlete, playing many years for the St. Louis Falcons Rugby Club. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mike was a union Glazier by trade and owner of Midwest Glass & Mirror, a commercial, residential, and industrial glass and mirror company. He was a member of both the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3638 in Florissant, MO, and Florissant Elks Lodge #2316.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his brother, John P. Kenny; sister Mariclare Byron; and brothers-in-law Darrell Sneed and Lawrence Roth. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara (Kranz) Kenny; daughter Laura (Michael) Muehling; daughter Karin Kenny and son Mark (Amber) Kenny; grandchildren, Dillinger Gould, Emma Gould, Brandston Gould, Elise Kenny and Fox Taber; sisters Margie Roth, Liz (Tim) Fleming, Kathy Sneed and Eileen (Gail) Kenny Brink and countless niece and nephews that he so lovingly adored.
As per Mike’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice at https://app.etapestry.com/onlineforms/GentivaFoundation/GHS.html
