Michael “Mike” Echevarria

Michael “Mike” Echevarria

June 3, 1976 – September 24, 2025

It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother in Christ, uncle, and faithful friend, Michael “Mike” Echevarria, 49, of Wildwood, Missouri. On September 24, 2025, Mike went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Mike was a devoted husband of 21 years to Janelle (Shea) and a loving father to Ava (17), Mia (16), Kai (14), and Jaq (11). He was a cherished friend to many and will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and his ability to light up a room with his smile and presence. To those who knew him best, Mike was more than a friend, he was family.

Mike was a man of deep faith, full of love for his wife and children, and had an unwavering loyalty to all of his passions. His devotion to God, his family, and his friends was unshakable. Whether time in Bible studies, staying connected with his Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity brothers, or showing up in powerful ways for those who needed him most, Mike lived his life with generosity and heart.

His legacy will live on in the love he poured into his family, the bonds of friendship he built, and the countless lives he touched with his light.

Services: A funeral mass will be celebrated at The Crossing Church in Chesterfield, Missouri at noon on October 1, 2025. In keeping with his wishes, a Celebration of Life will immediately follow the service at Saint Albans Country Club. Friends and family attending service are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the joy Mike brought into this world.

In lieu of flowers, Janelle and the family suggest donations be made to support the children’s future educational needs. Contributions may be directed to:

The Echevarria Childrens Trust

I only knew mike for a short time. I spoke with Janelle briefly on the phone. Mike had great smile and always kind words even though he knew the end was near that’s true courage!

I only knew from my Thursday morning bible study. Mike always lit up the room with awesome smile and always greeted you with warm hug.
I know that Mike is in Jesus’ arms with fully restored heavenly body.

I am praying for all of you
“ God, may Janelle, Ava, Mia, Kai, and Jaq feel you drawing them into your comforting arms, and holding them close to your heart. Lord, please give them even a glimpse of the great joy that Mike is now experiencing face-to-face with you in heaven, where there is no more death or mourning or crying or pain. Lord, you know how much they miss Mike, how much they hurt, and how much they need you to carry them moment by moment and step-by-step. Thank you, God that you will never leave them, never fail or forsake them. And you know exactly how they feel because you watched your beloved son Jesus die to make a way for us to be in heaven with you. Amen.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Our prayers are with this beautiful family. We only knew them for a short time. We went to church with them at St. Alban Roe. They sometimes sat behind us or in front of us. I always admired them and how well-behaved their children were. Jaq was probably 3 years old at the time. Beautiful girls and good-looking boys. Mike was always very kind, as was Janelle. We have since relocated back to Texas to be close to the rest of our family.
