Michael “Mike” Keane Anson
Michael “Mike” Keane Anson passed away in St. Louis, Missouri, on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the age of 32. Michael was born on June 29, 1992, to Daniel K and Christina L (Koenigsfeld) Anson in St. Louis, Missouri. Michael was the youngest of five brothers, Daniel, Matthew, Patrick, and Thomas. Michael was an avid hockey player and competed at all levels in the Webster Groves youth leagues from the age of 3, eventually playing for the Webster Groves Skatesmen, Affton Americans, and the Chesterfield Falcons Central States team, a team that won the 2010 Youth Under-18 National Championship.
Michael loved music and was often found going to concerts, traveling all around the country with friends to follow bands and attend festivals. Michael had a tender soul and an endless capacity for love. It was the light of his personality, his biting sense of humor, and, of course, his enormous heart that enabled him to have such a large and diverse group of friends, many of whom he considered his brothers.
Survivors include: his girlfriend, Lauren Covert; his parents: Daniel and Christina; his siblings: Daniel Kenneth Keane Anson and his wife Amanda; Matthew Keane Anson and his wife Mirra; Patrick Keane Anson and his wife Laura; Thomas Keane Anson and his wife Melissa; his five niblings, Daniel II, Abigail, Taylor, Niko, and Lena; his Godmother, Jeni Koenigsfeld, and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

“It breaks my heart to hear about Mike Anson’s passing. He was truly one of the good ones—a kind, genuine soul who had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued.
I’ll always cherish the memories of sledding down hills at night and playing video games until the early hours of the morning with him. Those simple, carefree moments encapsulate the joy and camaraderie that Mike brought into the world.
He may be gone, but his spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched. May he rest in peace, and may his loved ones find comfort in the beautiful memories he leaves behind.”
