Michael Roy Donovan

Michael Roy Donovan, 63 years of age, formerly of Jennings and St. Charles, MO, passed on Saturday,
October 31, 2020, at Mercy Hospital – Washington.
Mike was born January 15, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late George Sr. and Marian (Hoffman)
Donovan. He was the 10th of 13 children and was educated in the Corpus Christi and Fairview school
systems.
Mike lived in Pacific, MO with the love of his life for over 20 years, Patricia Williams. Mike and Patty had
been friends since childhood, and loved her children, Brandy and Chris as his own.
Mike always enjoyed helping others and volunteered at several places including the Agape House and
The Salvation Army. He also enjoyed music, woodworking, auto mechanics and had many collections of
cherished treasures.
Mike was a beloved partner, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Preceded in death by his parents
George Sr. and Marian (Hoffman); 3 brothers, George Jr., James, and Thomas; 2 sisters, Pamela
(Lancaster) and Barbara (Torbisky); 2 nieces, Kim Medvik and Mariyah Gallagher; 1 nephew, James Jr; 2
brothers-in-law, Kenneth Medvik Sr. and Robert Pilger; and his beloved Akita, Nicky.
He is survived by five sisters – Judith Barteau, Marilyn Vollmer, Patricia Rizzello (John), Maureen
Donovan (Jim) and Cecily Pilger, 2 brothers – Timothy and Robert (Tammy). Mike will be missed by a
a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts.
Mike was an honored organ donor. Even through death, he has continued to help others.
A memorial will be held on a later date at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, MO at the gravesite of his
parents.
