Mildred A. Lindsey was born on April 8th, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri to Arthur and Anna (Werner) Meyers. She died peacefully at Mercy South Hospice – De Greeff House in St. Louis, Missouri on October 3rd, 2023.

Mildred was a 1945 graduate of McKinley High School. She and Richard A. Lindsey, Sr. were married on June 1, 1946.  They shared a fulfilling 60-year marriage up until Richard’s death in 2006.

Mildred was very active.  She loved to swim several times a week and walk the grounds of Friendship Village.  She was a trend setter.  She enjoyed decorating her apartment and walking for holidays which encouraged many of her neighbors to do the same.

Mildred was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Anna Meyers, and her husband, Richard A. Lindsey, Sr, sons Richard A. and David Lindsey. She is survived by her daughters, Susan [Lindsey] Ribaudo and Laura [Lindsey] Mosier.  She was a beloved grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

Per Mildred’s request, in lieu of a memorial service, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
