Ned Owen Gillilan, 92, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2026, with his daughters by his side.

Ned proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Radarman aboard the USS Scanner. He later dedicated more than 35 years to Chrysler Corporation. Demonstrating his lifelong commitment to hard work and personal growth, he returned to school later in life to earn his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After earning his degree, he transitioned into a successful role in the Quality Control Division at Chrysler Corporation, where he worked until his retirement.

Along with singing in the church choir, Ned’s greatest passion was golf, a game he picked up as a young child and enjoyed throughout his life. He was a truly gifted golfer, earning numerous trophies and spending countless hours on the greens. He had a gift for spontaneous humor, always sharing a joke or a moment of laughter.

Ned is survived by his two daughters: Kathy (John) Mack and their children, Kyle, Alex, and Emily; and Cindy (Steve) Wolf and their children, Steven, Amanda, Rachel, and Natalie. He was also blessed with 18 great-grandchildren.

Ned was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his beloved wife of 67 years, Darlene June (Bollman) Gillilan.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, located at 9907 Sappington Road, St. Louis, MO 63128. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m.
