Nelson Leslie Pointer

Nelson Leslie Pointer was born on August 15th, 1939 in Osage County to mother, Mabel (Branson) and father, Leslie Pointer.

Nelson married his wife, Patti, on April 25, 1987 in Belle, MO and were married for 38 years. Nelson lived in the house for 52 years in Wildwood, MO. He worked for Sieveking Oil for 30 years before retiring, and drove his own company’s dump trucks, Pointer Farms Trucking. Nelson was a member of Teamsters Local 618.

He loved watching his grandkids sporting events and rarely missed a game or school event. He loved the yearly deer hunting event with his son, Greg, and grandson, Zachary. He rarely missed a Nascar race on TV and he attended a few years ago.

Nelson is survived by his wife, Patti Pointer; children Greg Pointer (Bev), Dee Marino (Jim), Dawn Fulsom, and Kelly Couch Williams (Steve); grandchildren Zachary Pointer, Bennett Fulsom (fiancee Mary Claire Hogan), Sydney Marino, Nolan Fulsom, and Dominic Marino; sibling Art Pointer (Judy) of Kensington, MD; son-in-law Matthew Fulsom (Stephanie) of Fenton, MO and brother-in-law Louis Craven (Dorothy) of Jonesburg, MO.

Predeceased by siblings Norman Dean Owens (Lawrence) of Belle, MO and Willard Pointer (Dorthy) of Marysville, WA.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23rd from 12pm-4pm at Joe Clarks in Fenton, MO on Highway 30.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Salvation Army or the Humane Society.
