Nicholas Bruneau

Nicholas Bruneau

Loving son, brother and friend Nicholas Bruneau, passed away at 58 years old on February 11th, 2020 in Florissant, MO. Nick passed away, after a diligent fight, from neck and throat cancer.

In lieu of a funeral service we will be having a Celebration of Life on May 9th, 2020. The venue will be announced later.

Nick was born in Duluth, MN on October 24th, 1961. He graduated from Hazelwood Central High School.

Nick worked as a tile setter for Ambassador Floor Company. He also enjoyed working for Henges for many years. Nick enjoyed singing in the band Beyond Repair, fishing, hunting, and motorcycle events with his many friends. Nick, lovingly known as “Bruno” was a good friend to many and always available to them. He would go to any lengths to help others. Nick also organized a benefit the last couple of years, even while battling cancer, for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. His friends are continuing the tradition and the “Bruneau Bash ” event will be June 14th.

Nick is survived by his Mother, Christine McCurter, father, Napolean Bruneau, sister Denise Sparrow and Aunt’s, uncles’, cousins’, nieces and nephews both in the United States and the United Kingdom. He has many friends that will miss the fun times, laughter and his infectious personality. Even his canine friends are sad at his passing; Dexter, Stella, Riley, Dakota and Milo, know there is no one like him and life won’t be the same. So many were touched by him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children Research Hospital.

You were my big brother always. You looked after me in my younger years and even as adults. That may have caused some conflict but I always appreciated you and knew I could count on you always. Will always remember your kindness from coming to my side after an accident, helping me find Dexter while recovering from throat surgery, patching my kayak, bringing my grooming tub across miles just too many to list, you would go to any lengths to help those you love. We miss you more than words can say. Try not to be too bossy in heaven. LOL. But enjoy your now pain free immorality. Love you lots and lots, your favorite and albeit only sister, Denise

Friend of my father’s. After his passing Nick spent a lot of time teaching my brother and I all sorts of things(mostly fishing related). An excellent role model and better friend. Miss you all the time.
