Our Nikki was an organ donor, and because of her death she saved three lives just this week, she gave sight to two others, and her tissue & bone retrieval will help others also. We are so proud of her as she continues to give even in her death. She was a proud member of Team Rizz and she was our official Illinois Master Boat Captain!
Nikki was an employee of SSM Health Center as a Strategy & Transformation Consultant. She graduated from McKendree College in 2005 with a degree in Psychology & she studied Education & Health & Human Performance. She was a Kindergarten Teacher at Gibson Elementary School before changing careers.
The family of Nikki Jones would like to thank all of the staff at SLU, especially the beautiful Nurses who cared so lovingly for our girl. We want to thank Mid America Transplant & Nicole Kellen who stayed in constant contact with us and guided us through the donor process. Also in our thanks is St. Louis Cremation for all of their help, their support, their assistance & guidance. Most of all, Nikki’s family would like to thank all of you who have reached out to us in so many ways to help us all through this difficult time with prayer, memories, laughter, support & love. There will forever be a huge hole in all of our hearts and our lives without our Nikki, but our Nikki would not want any of us to be sad. She lived her life to the fullest and she was all about fun, laughter, enjoying life and love. In lieu of flowers, we are asking that you make a donation to Nikki’s husband and children to help them through all they are facing. It will be greatly appreciated.
I love you, sweet girl. So many people do. I so enjoyed watching you love Trevor and the boys as you became a mom and you all became family. And even more so watching you become Mommy to Kennedy, your mini-me. I’ll miss your kind heart and quick wit. You endured so much loss here on earth. I’m comforted knowing that now, you’re experiencing that all-consuming love that we all long for and that I will be reunited with you one day.
Beautiful tribute to a beautiful friend. You will be missed by all and your spirit of kindness will live in our hearts. ❤️
Very nice tribute to our beautiful bundle of joy since birth and beloved Daughter, Granddaughter, Mommy, Sister, Wife, Niece, Co-Worker and Best Friend…Love you with all of our hearts and souls!!! xoxoxo
What a great bunch of memories for Nicki’s family. She may have been small in stature but a heart as big as Texas to continue to help others live longer and better lives when she no longer could. A great role model for all of us!
I am so blessed God gave you to me as we walk through this earthly life. You were not only my baby, my babygirl, my daughter, but you were my beastie. Thank you for all you haven given me. I will see you soon my love & I will love you in death as I do in life. You are always a part of me. Love, From Your Mama. ❤
Oh Nickers. I was just told of your passing.
You wouldn’t stop crying, so your mama would call me. I had an old pink satin pillow case that I would drape over my shoulder and you’d lay your little head on it, rubbing your cheeks on the cool, smoothe fabric. As I rocked you back and forth and whisper “ssshhhhwwssshhhwww” like a gentle surf washing up to meet us, in your ear, you’d drift off to sleep, rubbing the edges of that satin between your tiny finger tips.
You were the closest I ever had to a daughter, my little girl. How we use to go off together for lunch at Applebees and sit and make fun of Eric, Adam, Jason and Jimmy………the goofy boys that they were…..they provided a lot of laughter for us. You handled them well, as the only girl in the group. I can still see you sandwhiched between them in the back seat of Uncle John’s Lincoln, on our trip to Florida. Always giggling and rolling your eyes at their shenanigans. You were such a good girl, all your life.
I stopped being involved in family matters, but I never stopped loving you or Eric and Jimmy. The only consolation is that you have been reunited with your daddy and grandma Sis. You were/are the apple of their eyes. I am glad we spent so much time together. I can’t wait to see you again sweetheart. I love you, forever. I have a little pair of ceramic toe shoes that I bought 30 years ago. They hang by a satin strap on a photo of you, because they reminded me of you. I’ll have Uncle Jerry give them to Kennedy.
Till we are together again. XOXOXOXO
Aunt Cyndi
My dear Nikkers,
It’s Christmas Eve morning. My mind goes to you, your giggle, smile and amazing level of common sense. Then, I immediately remember Kennedy and your mom. I hope they can get through these special days of missing your own special beauty and sense of fun that once were highlights of these special days, through your grace and humor.
No matter what – I love you, miss you and look forward to seeing you again.
