Oderia Moore

Oderia Moore was born May 16, 1925 in Meridian, Mississippi to the union of Flether Pringle and Berlie Shamberger Pringle. She was the youngest of four siblings: three sisters and one brother. Her parents and siblings preceded her in death.

She was educated in the Meridian Mississippi Public School Systems.

On August 22, 1962 she was united in holy matrimony to Augustive Moore, who preceded her in death.

She was a faithful member of West Side Missionary Baptist Church.

Oderia Pringle Moore transitioned this life to her heavenly home on April 18, 2019.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Beatrice Pringle-Vasser (Henry L. Ballard, Sr.), Bernice Pringle Fowler, two granddaughters, Chery Li Fowler and Stacey Li Fowler, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

I’m Free

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way
I found that peace at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Oh yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee
God wanted me now; He set me free.

My condolences to the Moore & Fowler Family, I never met Mrs. Moore but I feel like I had known her for many years through all the wonderful stories Cheryl shared with me often. May God keep you all in His loving arms during this difficult time of “Granny” going home. Love you & May God keep you! ??
