Patricia Bruneau

Patricia (Patti) Bruneau died on July 26, 2019 in the company of family at her home in Chesterfield, MO.

Born on November 6, 1950 to Juanita and William Kraft, Patti grew up primarily in Milwaukee, WI. She married Mark Bruneau on August 14, 1971, and they moved to Missouri soon after to start their family. After a decade there, they lived in Georgia and Tennessee for several years, then returned to settle in Missouri after their children were grown. To help support her family, Patti worked at times in child care, in retail, and as co-owner of a catering company.

Throughout her life, Patti loved caring for people, whether as a wife, a mother, a friend, a “bonus grandma” to her friends’ children, or a mentor to her children’s friends. Her affections extended to all fauna and flora, especially the beautiful flower garden she spent the last years of her life cultivating.

When she wasn’t caring for living things, Patti liked to craft beautiful objects and collect antiques, hobbies she combined by restoring dolls and decorating dollhouses. She also enjoyed chocolate, Chantilly perfume, and a good cheeseburger.

Patti was preceded in death by her husband Mark and is survived by her children Derek, Kris, and James. Her family requests that any donations made in her memory go to the St. Louis Zoo (https://www.stlzoo.org/) or the Missouri Botanical Garden (http://www.missouribotanicalgarden.org/), two of her favorite places to visit.
