Patricia Ann Fitzgerald (Wimer), age 74, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2020 at Bethesda Southgate in Saint Louis, Missouri. Patricia was born on July 17, 1946 to Roy and Wilda “Marie” (Keaney) Wimer in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.

Patricia raised three loving children of her own and many others throughout the years. To all who knew her she was a kind and loving soul who spent her years caring for others first as a CNA and then as a childcare provider in her home. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed reading, watching the birds and crocheting in her spare time.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Wilda “Marie” Wimer and her husband James Fitzgerald.

She is survived by three older brothers, Roy (Jack) Wimer Jr. (Beverly), David Wimer (Linda), Donald Wimer (Berdella) and her children, Jennifer Drowns Jackson (Lubbock, TX), Joseph Drowns (Hazel Green, AL) and Suzzanne Schmidt and her husband Scott (Saint Louis, MO), grandchildren Caitlyn Drowns (Salina, KS), Jaiden Drowns (Saint Louis, MO), Tyler Drowns (Hazel Green, AL), Evan Jackson (Lubbock, TX) and Scott Schmidt III (Saint Louis, MO) and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia continues to give to the world even in her passing as a full body donor. She has donated her body to science and did not wish to have a memorial service.In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the bird wildlife sanctuary near you
