Patricia Pahl
Patricia Ann Pahl died on Thursday, May 30, 2013, surrounded by her family. Patricia was born on June 18, 1930, in St. Louis, Mo., to the late John and Margaret “Hazel” Mullaney.
She married the late John “Jack” Pahl on Oct. 28, 1950, and made their home in Spanish Lake, Mo, later retiring to Wildwood, Mo. They raised seven children: John (Denise) Pahl, Carey (Dave) Evans, the late Matt (Tracy) Pahl, Mary (Gary) Wesloh, Curt (Pam) Pahl, Lawrence (Linda) Pahl, and Patrick (Kelly) Pahl. She was loving grandmother to Joe and Elena Pahl; Jake (Jenn) Evans and Becky (Jeff) Schlecht; Tyler, Allison, Austin and Cassandra Pahl; Amy (Luke) Presley, Tim (Kayla) and Dan Wesloh; Ryan and Jason Pahl; Sarah, Brian and Brett Pahl; and Connor, Caitlin and Tara Pahl. She also was great grandmother of Miles, Isabel, Valeda, Shepherd, Addie, Mia, Ronan and Liam.
She was the dear sister of Norb (Teddy) Mullaney; Virginia “DeeDee” (the late Bill) Suda, and the late Richard (Terry) Mullaney, sister in law of Arthur “Mick” (Sheila) Pahl and Linda (Bob) Krause, Darlene Loyet (the late William Pahl), aunt and friend to many.
Patricia blossomed in life in so many ways. In addition to tending to her family and her Catholic faith, she expressed her creative skills through various forms of art and was a skilled seamstress. She loved line dancing, orchids and everything that bloomed. She volunteered and gardened at the Missouri Botanical Garden and Shaw Nature Reserve. Affectionately nicknamed “Irish” by her loving husband, she was an enthusiast of all things Irish and fulfilled a lifelong dream of visiting the Emerald Isle. She also enjoyed vacationing in Sarasota, Fl., collecting seashells to share with her grandchildren.
Patricia’s family will celebrate her life with a Memorial Service at Sacred Heart Church in Eureka, 350 E 4th St, Eureka, MO 63025, at 5 p.m., Friday, June 28. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to the St. Louis Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, Mo., 63132.
