PATSY JUNE DODGE

It is with joy and sadness that we announce the passing from this life of our beloved mother, Patsy June Dodge, on July 13, 2022 at the age of 92 in St Louis, MO.  Joy that she is now in the loving arms of God and reunited with the love of her life, Denny, and in the embrace of her parents, siblings and infant grandson, Clayton.

Patsy was born on June 15, 1930 in Lone Wolf, OK, the daughter of Edwin Carroll Shipman and Beulah Higgins Shipman.  She is preceded in death by her brother, Carl Shipman, and sisters, Carolene Brady and Lawana Burkhalter, all of Bonham, Texas.

She was always proud to say her three daughters, Teresa Noack (Bob), Linda Rodgers (Charles) and Janice Dames (Larry) were her greatest achievement.  We were so fortunate to have had Mother in our lives for over seven decades and will miss her every day.

In addition to her three daughters, she is survived by grandchildren, Michelle, Travis, Lauren, Kimberly, Richard, Katherine and Victoria; great-grandchildren Chance, Abbey, Ryan, Blase, Lilli, Brianna, Adam, Luke, Bianca, Oliver and Natasha; and great great-granddaughter, Nevaeh.

Patsy was very much an independent and vibrant spirit who lit up a room with her smile and feisty nature.  She adored her many cats, was a lover of gardening, sewing and especially valued spending time with her family and with friends at bingo and trips to the casino with her late husband.

A Celebration of Life will be held in St. Louis on September 3rd followed by interment of her ashes and those of her late husband in the family plot at Willow Wild Cemetery in Bonham, TX on October 8th.

She will be missed every day! We sometimes forget how many wonderful times we shared. But no matter where we were, Mom would always follow us down the drive and wave until we were out of site – even waved goodbye from her apartment window. That is how I want to remember her and believe she is waving to us from Heaven. I love you, Mom. You were the best. Love,YBG (your baby girl, Janice) XXOO ditto
