Pauline Emerson

Pauline Ann Emerson passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at deGreeff Hospice House in St. Louis, Missouri.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing: her beloved children; Michael Woods, Jim “Pappy” Emerson (Kathy), Paul “Bud” Emerson (Barbara), Tom Emerson (Fran), Ric Emerson (Joann), Dan Emerson (Marilyn), Mike Emerson (Jane) and John Emerson (Laurie); 47 wonderful grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Martha (nee Beasley) Bommarito (Vince) and Paul “David” Beasley (“Gert”); numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins, other relatives and friends.
Pauline was preceded in death by: her parents, the late Paul and Ann (nee Vrenick) Beasley; one son, the late Robert Emerson; and her sister, the late Alberta Lee Grider (nee Beasley).
Pauline was best known for how much she loved her family. She was a good mother to all of her sons and was especially loving to her many grandchildren. She was proud of having been the matriarch of such a large and happy family.
In her younger days, Pauline coached and played volleyball and was very active in sports. As she aged, she came to enjoy crafts. She always had a special place in her heart for her dogs, especially the dachshunds that were her dear companions.
Per her wishes, Pauline’s services will be private, but memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the deGreeff Hospice House, c/o St. Anthony’s Charitable Foundation, 10010 Kennerly Rd., St. Louis, MO 63128-9923.

    miss our many phone conversations and fun lunches.
