Pearl Ellison
Pearl Ellison recently a resident of Southview Assisted Living in Affton was taken into the Lord’s arms on Friday, October 13, 2017. She was born in Dane County, Wisconsin to William H. Call and Elvira Bergholz Call. She graduated from Waterloo High School and attended Duncan Beauty School in Madison. Pearl spent many years in Whitewater, Wisconsin and Bella Vista, Ark. where she enjoyed tole painting, playing golf, and volunteering at the Helping Hands. Since moving to St. Louis, she has spent much of her time with her family, her loving friend, Al Schif, her “grand” pets, Bandit and Thomas, and friends at St. John’s Evangelical United Church of Christ where she was a member.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Thomas, her parents, 3 sisters and 1 brother, and her son, Terry.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Lovas, two grandchildren, Jennifer (Ed) Meissner and T. Christopher Lovas, one Great Grandchild, Brendan Meissner, a sister-in-law, Phyllis Call, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a loving and deeply caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on October 25, 2017 at 3:00 PM at St. John’s United Evangelical United Church of Christ, 11133 St. John’s Church Road, Melville, MO 63123 with a reception following. Her ashes will be interred at Hillside Cemetery in Whitewater, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John’s Evangelical United Church of Christ.
