Ralph Anthony Peck
Ralph Anthony Peck was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 5, 1932 to his
parents Bessie and Ralph A. Peck Sr. Ralph passed away peacefully at home on June
5, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his son Dr. Ralph A. Peck; step- daughter Lynn
Saller(Jim) and their son Michael Saller. Ralph is survived by his wife of 34 years ,Mary
Gagnon Zerr and his son Paul Peck. Ralph was a wonderful step-dad to Dawn
Kunkel(Larry) and Bradley Zerr and step- grandfather to Stephen Saller (Laurie), David
Saller, and Allison Kunkel. Gretchen Peck is the former wife and a friend of Ralph.
Ralph’s legacy will be a guiding star for all who knew him.
Ralph graduated from Missouri Military Academy in 1952 and Northwestern University
1962 with a Degree in Finance. He served in the US Army from 1954-56 spending 18
months in Germany with the 42 Fields Artillery battalion of the 4th Infantry division.
Ralph earned his CPA and had a long career with roles in finance, private and public
accounting. He retired in 1997 and moved to St Louis MO. After retirement Ralph
worked part time at St John’s UCC as an accountant and office manager.
Ralph was an active member at the Church of the Advent ;serving as Jr. Warden of
the Vestry, Eucharistic minister and member of the finance committee. He was a
member of the Crestwood Elks and the Civil War Roundtable.
Ralph was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing his moments with loved
ones and friends. His passion for sports, especially golf and football, history (especially
the Civil War) , reading, classical music, and unwavering spirit will forever be
remembered.
Please join us to celebrate the life of Ralph. We will gather together on June 17th at the
Episcopal Church of the Advent, 9373 Garber Road, Crestwood, MO. There will be a
reception at 10:30, a church service at 11:00 with a luncheon in the church hall. Burial will
take place at 2:30 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery

Ralph was a fine man and a good friend to all who knew him. He leaves a hole in our hearts.

Ralph was one of the most likeable people I have known. Always friendly, engaging and ready to help. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.
Ralph was always on the go. He was so fun loving and as sharp as a tack. Truly intelligent. He was loved and will be missed by all. I am so happy he and Mary wed. I received a special uncle. RIP dear Ralph
