Ralph Bohn

Bohn, Ralph Terry, Sr. age 78, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday March 21, 2020. Terry was born in Richmond Heights MO to Ralph W Bohn, Jr and Dorothy A Bohn. He is survived by his loving wife Carol of 54 years, proud and loving father of R Terry Bohn Jr of Fort Collins CO, and Timothy M (Jennifer) Bohn of Dardenne Prairie, MO, caring grandfather of Emily and William Bohn, dear brother in law of Evelyn & Dick Ressler and Ed & Marilyn Braun. His twin sons predeceased him.

Terry attended University of MO, Columbia, where he received a Bachelor of Journalism. One of his great joys was working for United Press at Sportsman’s Park in the summer of 1962 for Cardinals home games. Later, he was employed by the STL Post Dispatch for 27 years and a member of The Newspaper Guild.

Terry was an avid STL Cardinal and STL Blues fan. He loved watching all sports, news, and keeping statistics on his teams. He read the STL Post sports section closely every morning. He loved traveling, especially to the beach, and also visiting his son Terry. He loved dining out and taking photos of everything on his Ipad. He will be missed by neighbors, friends and family.
A celebration of his life will be at a later date.

Carol, my heart goes out to you and your family. A loss is so difficult to come to terms with especially now when, because of the threat of COVIT-19 you can’t even have a memorial service. You had a good, long marriage and travelled to so many wonderful places together, I hope these memories can help you along this path.

I will miss you immensely dear friend of 52 years. I’m so glad we were able to get one last trip to the beach ???? (Bohn-Bohns & Halls) in mid-January. May His eternal light shine upon your soul. R.I.P.

Terry always amazed us with his intellect. He knew so much about places all over the world. We will miss getting tidbits of information from him as we used to sit out in the warm weather and soak up all the knowledge he would pass on to us. We will truly miss him.

    Carol
My thoughts and prayers are with you. We have been friends for over 60+ years and even though I only knew Terry through our conversations, I know he will be sorely missed
    God Bless you my friend

Terry you will be missed! Ken and I loved all the messages you’d send, whether it was a holiday, birthday, or Anniversary for us! You always had such nice things to say. Thanks for always sharing your Diet Cherry Coke’s with me when I was a kid and making the best nachos! Rest In Peace Terry????????

I am speechless and heartbroken. I do not know a life without you and Carol in it. I have so many memories of our families going on vacation together and digging giant holes in the sand. Eating at the Ground Round and Fatted Calf every Friday for I don’t know how many years. You calling and checking in on me during my summer vacations when you worked at the Post Dispatch. Playing countless games of Scrabble and Monopoly, especially British Monopoly. Making whirlpools in the swimming pool pulling me around on your back. The memories go on and on. I love you Terry. Miss you so much already. So glad you got to meet Max and celebrate all his first year milestones with us.

Ron and I are so sorry for your loss. Terry was a great friend and will be missed. We had alot of great times together. You can find peace in the fact that he went fast at home and didn’t suffer. You will see him again. Praying for you and the kids1
