Richard Martin passed away peacefully at St. Louis University Hospital on October 17, 2023 at the age of 57. He was born in Peoria, IL on November 18, 1964.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Geneva Bouton & William and Catherine Johnson, his mother, E. Kay Martin, his father, Carroll Moorefield, his stepfather, Joseph Martin, and his brother, Mike Martin.

Lovingly remembered by his children, Alycia (Zach) Wilson (O’Fallon, MO) and Ryan Williams and his grandchildren, Kyla, Titus, and Adam Wilson, and his siblings, Kim Martin (Peoria, IL) and Ed Martin (Marcellus, IL), his aunt, Donna Hittle (Princeville, IL), and uncle Lee (Catherine) Daughtery (The Villages, FL), and Uncle Ray Bouton (Pekin, IL), and Uncle Leon Daughtery (TN).

Richard, lovingly called Richie by family and friends, was as a talented auctioneer who loved good deals and knew how to find them. He loved his family dearly, especially his Grandmother Geneva. He was known to be a person to overcome all obstacles that came in his way and preserved through some difficult challenges in life.

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
