Richard Dale English, age 75, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025, following a long battle with cancer.

Dear brother of Raymond Sarason. Beloved uncle of Jeannette (Craig) Reid; great-uncle to Katherine (Josh) Warner and Shannon (Cameron) Willman, and great-great uncle to two. 

He was preceded in death by parents Howard and Vesta (nee Loper) English, wife Linda (nee England), sister Luella (nee Sarason) McCoy, and nephew Scott McCoy.

Richard graduated from Washington University with a degree in mathematics and worked at McDonald Douglas for many years. His passion for mathematics and science was evident both in his career and his lifelong dedication to learning.  He found joy in engaging conversations about aviation technology and the future of space exploration. Richard will be fondly remembered for his love of Star Trek, Ruffles potato chips, and giant Hershey bars:)

A small private ceremony will be held in his honor.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or your favorite Cancer Research Center in his memory.
