Richard G. Buckhold

Buckhold, Richard G. “Bucky”

Much loved brother, brother in law, uncle, great uncle and friend to many, left us on April 9, 2017, one day short of his 78th birthday.

Rich loved his family as much as they loved him and was blessed with many friends whom he held dear. Travel, trains, photography, good food and wine were also some of the joys of his life. Rich was known for arranging group trips and acting as tour guide. He enjoyed entertaining on his deck and, as a host, believed a wine glass should never be empty. After retirement from Barry-Wehmiller in Clearwater, FL, he returned to St. Louis, his home of birth and heart. He volunteered at the Kirkwood Train Station until illness forced him to stop.

He is survived by one brother, Fred (Janice) Buckhold Jr., nieces Karin (James) Murphy, Kate (Matt) Froning and Sara (Nathan) Arunski and nephews Craig (Stehanie) Steinmeyer and Dr. Fred (Gretchen) Buckhold III, Uncle Richie is also survived by his beloved great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Steinmeyer and parents, Fred and Adele Buckhold .

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Webster Groves, MO. Memorials may be made to the Peregrine Society of St. Louis or a charity of choice.
