Beloved father for Tim Grus, Ann Marie Grus, Patrick (Sarah) Grus, Terrence (Julia) Grus, and Nathanial Grus; grandfather of Taylor and Trent Grus, Bryanna Gilbert, Lakin and Rayne Grus, Emma and Will Grus. Dear brother of Betty Unnerstall, Rita (Don) Vaughn, Gerry (Rosalie) Grus, and Patty (Sherman) Pollard.
Preceded by his parents Joe (Alice Brune) Grus; siblings Rose Auth, Cleo Pedrotti, and Leon Grus.
Richard was a hair dresser for 30 years; owner and operator of Richard’s Total Hair Care in Kirkwood, Missouri. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports, and reminiscing about his family farm.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
I used to work in activities at the NHC nursing home that Richard once resided at. He was a fun guy. Good man. Was always up for an activity. My deepest condolences to Tim, Ann, and the rest of Richard’s family. May Richard’s memory be a blessing. May he Rest In Peace.
