Richard Hardt
Richard A Hardt, of O’Fallon, died peacefully, at the age of 71, in his sleep Sunday, May 25th.
He was born to Irvin & Lois Hardt, Richard graduated from University City High School, then attended Washington University. He retired from Monsanto after 37 years as an Electrical Engineer.
He loved to travel, dance and spend time with family. He was an avid bowler (bowled a perfect game..twice) and a St. Louis Cardinals fan. His smile would illuminate any room and he was never short of words or funny 1 liners to keep you laughing.
Richard is survived by his 3 children: Janet Stich of O’Fallon Mo, Carol Brown of Tampa, FL and Thomas Hardt of Warrenton, Mo. He is also survived by 2 brothers, 2 sisters and 5 grandchildren.
He touched so many lives and will be missed dearly.
I love you Dad and will miss you so much!!
Its hard to believe you are gone. I hope heaven is treating you well and you are looking after all of us. All those special memories of you will always make me smile. You always meant very much and always will do too. The fact that you’re no longer here will always bring me pain but you’re forever in my heart until we meet again.
I love you grandpa.
Rest peacefully Rich. You lived life to its fullest; you loved and were loved. I’ll always remember your smile, and your teasing ways. You were an awesome big brother.
And to Jan and Carol-wishing peace, love and happiness for you. You cared for him so well during his illness, and he was so proud of both of you. Much love to you, and I am always here for you.
I still keep my blue boyfriend pillow on my bed and sleep beside it every night. I will continue to pray that we will meet again in Heaven, where there is total healing and most of all, peace with Jesus, the author of forgiveness.
Dear Father in Heaven, please greet Rich with open arms and draw the whole family together into Your family with eternal love for all.
Love you always DAD,sorry I didn’t have a chance to say goodbye!until we meet again love you and miss you
Rest in peace Rich. My heart is heavy thinking of your loss, we all had so many great memories through the years and you will always be in my heart.
