It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Richard Scott Ladenberger.
Richard was a father, grandfather, brother, and friend who leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his four daughters; Ashlee Mattingly (spouse Ryan), Amy Johnson (spouse Kenny), Hanah Olechnovics, and Sera Ladenberger (fiancé Dustin), his 9 grandchildren; Devin Bartlett, Annalise Mattingly, Layton Mattingly, Alice Mattingly, Benedict Mattingly, Cordelia Mattingly, Odin Olechnovics, Ivy Olechnovics, and Olivia Johnson, and his beloved dog Georgia.
He is also lovingly remembered by his brothers, Dan Ladenberger and Cliff Ladenberger, and his sisters, Lynda Fricke, Nancy Roorda, Judi Fuchs, and Chris Amelung.
In the final chapter of his life, our father found strength and pride in his sobriety, remaining sober for 312 days. His commitment during that time was a testament to his resilience and will be deeply honored by those who loved him.
Richard will forever be remembered for his deep love of music, his passion for cooking, BBQ’ing, hunting and fishing, and his appreciation for the outdoors. He was a man who truly lived life to the fullest, never letting a moment pass without creating lasting memories. His adventurous spirit, laughter, and dancing will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
