Richard “Rick” Louis Orf

Richard “Rick” Louis Orf
April 7, 1964 – June 20, 2025

Richard “Rick” Louis Orf, of Robertsville, Missouri, passed away on June 20, 2025, at
the age of 61, surrounded by the love of family and friends after a courageous battle
with pancreatic cancer.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Kim; his daughter, Austin, and son-in-law, Caleb; and
his beloved grandson, Maverick, who brought him endless pride and joy. He also leaves
behind his sisters Jeanne (Randy) Lammert and Patty Cook; mother-in-law Marlene
Farrell; brother-in-law Tim (Sarah) Farrell; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces
and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Joann Chadbourne, father Richard Orf Sr., and
father-in-law John Farrell.

Born on April 7, 1964, in St. Louis, Rick was an incredible human whose warmth,
humor, and kindness left a lasting imprint on everyone he met. He brought joy wherever
he went and had a rare gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved. Rick was a
steady and shining presence, a light in this world who positively impacted countless
lives simply by being himself. His heart was as big as his smile, and his legacy will live
on in the laughter, love, and guidance he gave so freely.

Throughout his career, Rick was known not just for his pursuit of operational excellence,
but for the way he led with heart. He was deeply respected for his unwavering work
ethic, but more so for how he treated people with compassion, fairness, and genuine
care. His colleagues became lifelong friends, and his impact in the workplace was as
personal as it was professional.

Rick was not only a leader in title but also in spirit. He was a mentor and father figure to
many, offering guidance, encouragement, and wisdom with humility and grace. Whether
it was a kind word, a listening ear, or leading by quiet example, Rick helped others
believe in themselves and grow into better people. He will be deeply missed not just for
what he achieved in this life, but for who he was: a loyal husband, devoted father and
grandfather, kind brother, fun uncle, trusted mentor, and faithful friend. His impact lives
on in every heart he touched and every life he made brighter.

A celebration of Rick’s life will be held on July 6, 2025 from 2-6pm at Silo Point at Brookdale
Farms, 7916 Twin River Road. Eureka, MO 63025. Think sundresses, shorts, and comfy
summer style – BBQ chic!

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Rick by sharing a meal with someone
you love, paying it forward in a McDonald’s drive-thru, or treating yourself to a roast
beef sandwich (with fries, of course) from Lion’s Choice.
